As alot of you guys know today is ESPN's drive to raise money for the Jimmy V foundation....what an amazing man he was.....and with some of the recent losses the people in this group have suffered i thought it might be appropriate to post a quote from his famous speech back in 1993

"To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number 1 is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number 2 is think. You should spend some time in thought. And Number 3 is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special."

thanks for all that sent me PM's.......being a sports fan i really followed him when i was younger, and just watching his speach puts alot into perspective

i used to work with Jimmy V at NC State, and was there when he took State to that truly miraculous NCAA championship win in 1983. if you think Jimmy V's famous speech was a tear-jerker, then you should watch a replay of the 1983 championship game too! Jimmy V really was a great great man. he won that 1983 championship with a ragtag team of previously no-name stars. NC State wouldn't even have made the tournament at all in 83, but they got lucky and won the ACC Tourney to get a seed.
