JMB MIDPIPES

Left Bank Drivers Side:rock:

sweet. im the a**hole. at least i dont have to go back. well not yet. im sure something else will go wrong.

ok picked up the O2 sensor and intalled it. what a pain in the a**. would have been a lot easier if i would ahve done it before putting the mids back on. so i had to go from the drivers side up and over. no more codes/engine light. sounds better but i think i have a small exhaust leak on the mids. ill check it tomorrow.

Has anyone had any issues with the Mids leading where they connect to each other. (JMB are two piece design. where they come together) I know im having a leak on the drivers side. Im going to pull it all off piece by piece (cat back) and get everything in really tight. I was trying to put it off until i get the new cat back this coming month but its driving me CRAZY. any suggestions?

Also has anyone used the "exhaust pipe spreader" kind of looks like the motor of a electric window core. you turn it and it expands the ends of the exhaust pipe. if so...any luck. how think of materieal will it expand?

i like those stainless steel band clamps. the ones that are 3 or 4" wide, tightened up with 2 bolts & what ever dia. pipe ya got.

make sure everything is clean & smooth & let everything settle into place assembled. run ya a bead of sillycoon around the joint, install the clamp & tighten till the 2 end parts come together or bolts break, which ever comes first, lol.

should have no leaks. plus a good lookin clamp.

have used some tail pipe expanders over the years. usually do a good job at cleanin up the end of the pipe. stainless steel is tough.
be sure to get some anti-seize or moly paster & slick up all threads & the wedge part. helps make the job easier & make the tool last longer
