JMB Performance CAI Installed

Some pics!!!! (finally)

It's a very clean installation. I did some tweaking to mine, so my install time was higher than normal, but I'd say plan on about an hour...which includes the test drive. :)

Installed:

JMB includes a right-angle connector for the radiator overflow line to be trimmed a little, but I picked up a right-angle section of hose and a straight connector. That's just a personal preference thing though.

I tried to show how closely the JMB red matches the Viper red, but it's tough to tell with a flash and indoor lighting:

In person it's a damn close match to the valve covers.

The oil catch is pretty slick. After some good hard driving, it smokes a little. I tried to get a pic of the smoke, but it's so light.

I'll say it again: Customer service from JMB is awesome. One call (or email) does it all.

I've received a few PM's about this, so I thought I'd do a public reply.

With my truck being my daily driver, the oil catch is a nice bonus feature. It keeps oil out of places where it shouldn't go, namely the air for the throttle body. Daily driving probably won't send much oil to the catch can.

For that drag or seriously race the trucks, I'd say it's a necessity. You want that fuel and air as clean as possible. Hardcore racers will probably be emptying it out more often. :)

I like the 'level' window it has too. That's very helpful.

The JMB setup is pricey compared to some of the others out there, but considering the quality, the components, and the customer service, it's a fantastic deal.

That is what I thought too. You can't beat the quality of the item as well.
