JMB Powdercoat and Rebuilt Engine...Pics

Cardude, she came back together beautifully. Thanks for sharing the pics.

And you mean to tell me the only three viper trucks in Colorado are all red? LOL They all look great too!

Yes. There are some black boxes left (and a few white ones). They would come directly from the shop, and I don't think they have lid foam, but it's pretty easy to find/cut.

I'll PM you with the welding shop's info. They'll get you availability/pricing/shipping numbers.

ok...great...need a black one. Will it have the latch and hinges and all...ready to bolt right on??? Do you have any of the foam left?

I believe that most of them have the latches and plate attached.
I have about 2" of the foam left. LOL Check with a craft store or some of the foam stores online. They can get you hooked up with that stuff.

The only thing easier than installing the battery box is putting your key in the ignition.
:D

Not to be Johnny RainCloud, but....It won't happen.

You're able to apply for an "Associate Membership", but unless you own a Viper CAR, there's no full membership.

This kinda sucked, but now it's a GOOD thing. When DCX was ruling the world, they had the cash to throw around and put on special events (like the VCA events). It would usually be something like, "DCX will pay for the track rental, but you guys [VCA] have to cover your hotels and meals." Well, hell yes! That's just a simple example, but you get the idea.

Now that DCX is in new hands, the first thing the new company did was cut funding for all special programs....like the VCA. They still recognize the VCA, but they're not renting Laguna-Seca for the weekend anymore. Kind of a bummer for the VCA guys; but good news for us.

If we had been part of the VCA, our membership dues would have dramatically increased (doubled?) when the company split up. Ouch.
If they all weren't driving such badass cars, I'd feel bad for them. :)

Here's another factor:
- Let the truck guys in and your membership numbers DOUBLE.
Wait? Isn't that a GOOD thing?
Not really. Now each event must be able to handle 400 vehicles when last time it was only 200. That means costs to put on the events double. It also doubles the track time (though there are some fast trucks out there...heh heh).
It makes things twice as expensive, and thus fees increase exponentially.
It would have been a rough ride all the way around.

The VCA is now much like us: on their own. They've got a great infrastructure setup, so things should progress smoothly. We may throw a few more wrenches than they do, but I think we [VTCOA] are doing a pretty damn good job ourselves.

At Mopar Nats, Jack spoke with the local director of the VCA about "working together" on future events. Two heads are better than one, and hopefully we can CUT costs with some things instead of doubling them.

I see a nice future relationship burgeoning between the car owners and the truck guys (and gals). It doesn't happen overnight, so don't hold your breath. We will need everyone's help with it, so attend the events when you can.
You won't regret it.

BTW the associate member is what our VCA president discussed with me about allowing other people in. We can always use the money and the members.

As a Viper CAR owner you can apply for full membership.
At best, Viper TRUCK owners are only allowed Associate Membership.

No offense, but I plan on saving my cash for VTCOA events....and the ones we work on in partnership with the VCA.

I am a member of the VCA (they are very active), I was inquiring for a local truck owner. Colorado is dead in regards to Viper Truck stuff. I only know a few people who have the truck that live here.

In your case, VCA is easy. You own BOTH the car and the truck. :)

I asked the VCA about this when I first bought my truck. They told me "nope".
At Mopar Nats, I actually spoke with the gentleman that told me 'nope' over the phone. Nice guy, but still said 'nope'. :D

Back then I was kinda bummed and resentful.
Today, I'm happier than Lindsay Lohan at a drive-thru liquor store.

Oh, and sorry- but you can't pay me enough to live in CO again. :)
