ok well fellas i've lost my job..an am in a bad bad way for money i saw that some one posted about a job for NOV in houston ....all i know is the oil field so i any of you guys have lead on anything or know were i can go look i need all th help i can get please thanks in advance

What did you do in the oil field? I only reason i ask is you might be able to land a job working on cell towers if you know how to climb?? If your interested go to yahoo and look up a group called towerpro. Hope that might help a little

i climbed towers back when i was in highschool been 700 plus aligning parablic dish's on a 2 degree pencil beam

Aparently there is plenty of work in Fort McMury Alberta, Oil fields are going crazy up there from what I have heard, Not sure if the economy has effected them or not... check out Alberta Oil Sands

Man I feel for ya. You must be a hell of a hand to just now get laid off. I started out in worm's corner and am now a mud engineer. Work has slowed down big time for us in the Rockies since Obama became president elect. My company has laid off about half of it's work force. All the rigs up here have crews of drillers and toolpushers.

I am currently still employed but I have not had a rig to check for about a month. Weird thing is I heard than NOV bought us out about a month ago.

I doubt that a company will sponsor him to immigrate or get his green card with Canadians out of a job unless he has special skills from what I have heard Fort Mac has a lot of projects on hold or out for re tender due to oil falling so low and oil sands being so expensive to produce. Plus the whole royalty thing that the government pushed is not encouraging new wells to be drilled.
