I wanted to publically thank Joemags for setting me up with Herbee Dodge out on LI. I had a few recalls and some warranty issues that I needed to get looked at. I did not purchase my rig in NY and the dealers I have dealt with to date out here have left much to be desired.
Since I met Joe, he has been nothing but selfless and helpful to me. A real person of character here, ladies and gents.... He purchased his rig at Herbee and when I inquired about a good dealer, he called them ahead of time to let them know I would be making an appt.
Well, I got my rig back this past Saturday and because of Joe, I was treated like royalty. Let me itemize what I went in for, what was done, and what it cost me....
1. Hood liner - since I got the truck, it had been kinda puffed up and sagging.
2. Passenger seatbelt recall - Thanks VTCoA
3. Wheel hub recall - Thanks VTCoA
4. Passenger side mirror - plastic was cracked
5. Brake pedal rubber - one of the nubs seemed to have disappeared.:dontknow:
5. Suspension - truck leaning by 1" on drivers side :dontknow:
6. Oil Change - No needed just yet, but I figured, what the hell...
So everything was addressed. And when I go the bill, I paid 100 for the oil change. That was it....
I met the Viper tech that worked on my rig and he was cool as hell. He told me he would warranty everything.
The rig will go back in a few weeks because they need to put it on a frame machine to check that the frame is not off. Based on prelimiary dimensions taken, it may just be a spring issue. Seems like they may have put the wrong type springs on one side of the truck. I have trouble believing it since they look identical, but who knows. The point is, Dodge is going to warranty that as well.
So I ended up tipping the service manager and the tech more than I paid for the oil change, but IMHO it was well worth it.
Now, how do I repay Joemags?:dontknow:
Well for starters, this thread is to let all you members out there that have not had the honor of meeting this guy, do it... You may have to drive to see him though, Joe never takes his truck out of the garage.
And if he does, he trailers it to his destination.
For those who have met Joe, you know what I am talking about. Joe is da man...
Joe, thank you for being so helpful to me. Some that have met me already know that I like to bust a little chops here and there. This is genuine.... I have not had too much time lately to bs and catch up here on the forum or elsewhere, but when the summer is over, I hope to GTG with the NE crew again very soon.
