Former leader of the Kingston Trio, solo artist and prolific songwriter, John Stewart died late last night of a stroke (cerebral aneurism)....
I did not know John Stewart but followed his career for many years since he took over the trio in 61 with Bob and Nick. He was a damn fine songwritier and sold his songs to a number of various musical artists...
He will be missed....... He had been diagnosed with Alzheimers so perhaps this was a more merciful way to go..... He was 68 years old....
