Just spoke to John, He has had a rough time and has got a long way to go.
He really sounded good on the phone, very happy to hear from us.
There is really a lot to tell so here goes,
He had a BAD stroke at home and because of confusion with the 911 operator was not found until 4 hrs. later. When the EMT's arrived he had no heartbeat and was not breathing, they administered CPR and the paddles, they were about to give up and on the very last try his heart started beating.
There is really no way to tell how long he was clinically dead before they arrived but the Dr's are warning him about permanent brain damage. He spent the next 3 weeks in ICU in a coma and a total of 45 days in the hospital
He is at home now and can walk with the aid of a walker. The right side of his head feels numb and oddly the left side of his body is partially paralyzed. To tell you how bad things are his Ex-Wife came from Texas to help him and is caring for him daily. He says he can function pretty well but any task takes complete concentration. Lets all wish him well and I have his number if someone wants to call him.
Please send him my best Jack ! I had his number but lost it switching phone carriers...Please pm me his number and I will call him :marchmellow:

Thanks Jack..Good to hear.
