I installed the 2/3 Extreme kit today, everything went great and I love the look and ride quality. My only question: is it common to only have about 1/8 inch clearance between the axle and rear bump stop? If so, what did you all do to correct this? I considered just cutting the stock rear bump stop in half but was hoping for a more professional approach prior to doing that. Thanks and I apologize for not posting pics...getting her detailed tomorrow so pics will go up after that. She still has 4 months worth of dust on her.

You need to cut them off to about 1/2" or you will bottom out and bend the axles!! been there, done that!!

I believe Tonys instructions tell you to cut them down to about 1/2 thick. Easy to do with a sharp pocket knife.

I figured they were in there but in my infinite wisdom I threw away the instructions thinking they were the packing slip and receipt.

Pictures as promised

Looks great!! What's next? Tint?

I just did the 2/3 ultimate kit last weekend. Only did the front and rear sway bar bushings for right now. I'll do the leaf and steering rack soon. I didnt notice my rear bumpstop and never cut it. I'll have to take a look at it now!

I forgot to cut mine and every time you hit a bump it felt like it was trying to stick that bucket seat up my barrel ass!!

Unfortunately no. I live in Cali where tinting the driver and passenger windows is illegal. Only real visual plans for now is getting the wheels repaired (lots of curb rash from last owner). I love the stance and look.

Well... Looked at it. I have what looks to be 1/4" or more. Do u guys cut the bottoms or the tops of the bumpstops?

Mine sat very close, like 1/8" or less. I removed the bumpstops, measured from the mounting bracket down 1/2" and marked it all the way around. Then took a wood blade on a sawzall and cut the end off and remounted it.

So you cut the top? Then put it back on the mounting bracket? Put a pic up if you can! Thanks

Its not the best pic but Im too lazy to take the wheel off to get a better pic. All I did was take out the two mounting bolts that mount the bump stop to the frame, marked, cut, then bolted it back to the frame.

Thanks brother, i'l have to mess with mine this weekend. I may try to cut it while its on the truck. I also need to get in there and do the rear leaf polys, and the steering.

I still have to do the bushings on mine too. The front bumpstop removal kicked my a$$ so I gave up on it after I finished the install of the springs and blocks.
