Is anyone running a short throw shifter in an 06? Unlike the 04-05's my 06 center console is really high and Im afraid if I go with a shorter shifter it will be compromised by this.

I have Tony's gen 1 short shifter and it's fine as long as the handle is installed in the most high position

They sit the same as stock or can be adjusted lower i have mine set so the top of the ball is about level with the top of the arm rest

You can use the full range of adjustment no problem in an 06.
I think mine is second from the lowest.
I shift with my arm rested on the console no problem.

I'm mildly confused... if you leave it adjusted high, does it still shorten your throw? If not is it still worth buying? Does it shift that much better?

yes its shorter and shifts are more precise the only drawback is they are noisier

Mine fits just Fine. Its not an issue, And it's a Gen II

Take the stock booties off the stock shifter and put them on the JTS shifter. Then its just as quiet as the stock one. That's what I did. :rock:

I just installed mine and it is not noisy at all. Very tight pattern, real quick. I also just installed his clutch upgrade master and slave. Much easier pedal pressure with the twin disk McLeod. Real tight "engage" and "disengage", it's either in or out, very precise. I see where I will be able to improve my 1/4 mile times with this set-up. I highly recommend.

Just went to his site.. He says they are sold out..... My 04 has the going into third problem.... 1-2 i nail and 3rd is a 50% chance of hitting correctly if this fixes the issue im down!

I believe he just got a new batch done.
