the gen 2 has a shorter throw... the gen 1 and the b&m have similar throws...

Both are 10times better than OEM, I just put a gen1 on and it is awesome, you should grab this for this price, you will love it!!!!!!!!!

Even without the knob it is a steal, a new Gen2 is $415+shipping w/o a knob............ These were $385+shipping new, $175 is crazy.
