i wound up using a socket that fit, long ext. & rachet, 1/2 drive, puttin a load on the old fittin & just "poppin" it.

a couple of other guys was goin to use a tubin crowsfoot to get that stuck sucker out

thanks, haven't installed mine yet, but will post up when I do. Several JTSVP upgrades on my list still to do.

+1 on the crowsfoot wrench here. That nut is a beech.

Getting it off wasn't that hard. Scrounging around for another Saginaw PS pump nipple that offered enough metal to weld to was another matter. I upgraded mine long before the Stinker even knew we had a power steering pump issue :p Those quick disconnects Dodge switched to are garbage.

the power steering line kit has been in constant upgrading , now with new seals for the fan unit, but the best deal for the ps pump fitting is to use a crows foot for the fitting , they can be had at either sears, or somethimes a local auto shop

Dremel the line off at the nut end of the fitting.

Get a 1" 3/8 drive socket 2" deep.

Insert 3/8" universal joint.

Insert 3/8" 4 or 6" extension.

Use socket wrench and cheater bar.
