well I decided I am going to be working 28 days on and 14 off for the rest of the year. So I have to be in Fouchon LA tommorrow at noon and to get into rotation on the boat I will be working on I have to be gone for 35 days. So I am driving my srt 10 to work for I have something to look fowrad to for the drive home "i really hate the jeep". The good thing is I will have the money in no time for my drag car and hopefully will be running in the 6's in the 1/8 mile by christmas. and I am taking half of december and all of January off to do nothing but race, snowboard, and surf. so if you see me on I 10 ,,,,,wave. at least the cooks on the boat are very good and maybe I will gain some weight.

its not a rig , I am captain of a commercial dive vessel. and since I have decided to work 28 and 14 I will have a "home" boat wich is calles the MR FRED , its a 4 point anchor boat that is 210 ft long. We anchor up over pipelines and let the divers work on them.

i will still be in touch we have sattelite internat tv and phones, all the comfort of home just without the truck and wife

Where do you park the 10 while out on the boat for a month?

First thing I thought too. Will it sit outside for 35 days? Or have you got a parking garage at work?

Be Safe Dude! See ya when you get back on solid ground!:wavey:

its in a lot where you have to go through 2 different security gates to get to it and I always cover it. and strap down the cover for it dont blow off. with homeland security the way it is it is real hard to get to the without the right idenification.

should I disconnect the battery if its going to sit for a month?

what other things do yall reccomend?

Personally, I would disconnect the battery for a month of sitting.

Covering and strapping it down should to the trick too. About the best you can do other than a garage.

Well captain, I was the ships master helms man.............foreward and aft steering:) Even as a Engineman in the Nav I still carried all streering for fueling, stores and docking:)

Have fun!

hey stick,i'm in fourchon now..get off the 8th. do ya'll work out of the cal-dive dock? drive your truck to work?! hope you have a quality cover,i drove my 99' to cameron once and even with a cover it got dusted(through the cover) with who knows what! (barite, cement). mileage is another thing i'm 640mi. from home:( another reason...hurricane season, this place is under water with a 3' tidal surge. i would be afraid i wouldn't be able to get to my truck in time!
