I just figured I would drop in and intro myself since I've been here for a while lurking <G> I recently picked up a 04 RC .How I ended up with it I dont have a clue . I only started out looking for a Truck to let the wife drive while hers was being built (80Chebby Stepside with full air-ride and an lq4 with 4l60e) and since mine was already down getting done (51 Chev LS2 ,700r full air ride and too much shit to list ) . I started looking at Mopars and the next thing I knew I owned one, I really tried to stop myself but the damn loan co went too long and too low to pass and the insurace co screwwed me worse by giving me a rate barely above liability on the Cheb . So I guess all I can say is the universe made me buy it !!!!!!
As for me I do three things for the tokens of our establishment .I am a sign maker ,a glass carver and a Street Rod builder .The rod shop is one of Texas's oldest and largest and since cars, fast cars and faster cars have always been a passion it was a natural calling .The artist thing I never knew till someone told me <VBG>
The truck is a blast and only problem is the Ol Lady is not warming up to driving it but says she will if she has to ROFLMAO . I really do not know why as she has had faster cars and she learned to drive on a stick . Maybe she is just afraid of the first scratch LOL which is silly since we run a custom paint shop . Now I just have to figure out what I can do to it and what I must do to it <G> First I have to figure out if my clutch is slipping or just the tires LOL.

Ummm, MIKE? Are those blue racing stripes on that 8.3 liter V10 black SRT-10 beast? Because if it is, I am goona have to be the first on this thread to say, "Damn, that looks too hot." Welcome aboard, or shall I say welcome home. It's good to see another TX SRT-10 owner.

Thanks and well yes and no .They are wide stripes but not really blue ,they are dk blue to purple color flip with some pearl . I like it cause I like to be odd ROFLMAO . Now the bad part is it somehow makes the thing look like a locomotive from the front for some reason .Thats the last thing someone wants to see in the rear view ,a train off the tracks

I am all for being odd. That's exactly my style. The stripes being a flip flop pearl makes it that much more awesome. I've seen a rain off the tracks. Slow91 has a real train horn rig on his SRT. I LOVE IT!!!! Oh yeah, it was asked before but where exactly is the heart of TX anyway?

ROFLMAO ,The bad thing is I do have a set of 5 note horns off of a train but it kind of unsettles me having to put a compressor and no bags <G>
As for Pix I will see what I have since the 80 is fugly with peeling clear and front is dropped but not back so looks like a scaley frog . The 51 is down to bare metal and finishing the rust and body work .That was a main point in buying the SRT ,I didn't have to build it . Cause projects I got out the wazzoo
as sitting in line after those two are a 48 Dodge 2 dr ,a 37 Plymouth P/u ,a 27 Ford P/u and a 50 Chev stretch cab project . Now this truck has done one thing for me so far and thats the want to put that motor ,upped a wee bit in a 2500# Rod , gotta do it ! Here is a pic of the column for the 51 p/u as it's the only thing painted brite silver base with black grafix and a candy over most . We just figured how we wanted to do the break line going from candy to silve and should look sweet .

Looks like we were both after claiming him Mr. Holden.
