First pass was 12.9 on motor. Got the bottle heater working and put in the 150 jets and ran a 12.212 at 116.74 mph. I am conviced a bottle heater is the key!! That was only at 900 psi. My 60 was still only a 1.9 so still some work to do there!
 
Congrats!!! :D Nice runs....looks like if you can get that 60 down with the DR's might snap a 11.9 ;)

Thanks for the props everyone....I was tickeled to death! I was also stoked to get in the 12's on motor. I was starting to think I'd need a flash to do so. Blake the Zex kit is only good to 200HP. I figured this was a good entry level kit for me to have fun with and eventually blow it up so I can do a monster build w/ forged internals and those wicked striker heads and a Direct Port System!
 
I was talkin to a few old guys that have been racing for ever and they were tellin me that we wouldnt see much difference between Direct Port and non until we got over 3-400 hp shots.....we would be FLYING with 400 shots....yyeeeaaahhh!!
 
;) The heat/bladder is the key. You can't go to far, but 1100/psi always worked for me.
And it works in reverse, when you fill the tank submerge it in a tank of water and ice, keep that tank cool when filling and you'll get more product in the tank! :dancing: at a lower pressure. :D

Aint that the truth!!! Right after they filled my bottle the pressure was only 600 lbs and w/ the 125 jets it only ran a 12.6. Finally she heated up to just under 1,000 and a huge SOTP difference. I hate this damn Zex Bottle Heater though.....it does not stay on.....it goes on and off on and off like a heating pad so you don't forget and leave it on and blow the thing. Downside is it takes sooo long to get warm! I might take it apart and try to remove that mechanism and just hard wire it.

Blake.....I can see that point....but is the Direct Port a lot safer? Maybe a Roe SC would be more fun anyways to have the power every time you start it up!

Fast400.....wish I could've seen yours before I bought! I think I'd loose my ass IF I could even sell mine....there are so many for sale! Kinda fun to do it on your own though....means more.....I think I'll buy a motorcycle for the down time but that is a wayyyyyys out....unless she blows soon!!!
 
Blake....hows your truck running? When you gettin her back? I can't wait to see your truck in Bradenton or before then! Who is tuning it? Do you know any local tuners that can dyno my truck and dial in the A/F for a 150 shot?
 
Roe will sell you a VEC. Dave at True Performance will install a Vec (they stock them)....You would benefit from the VEC cuz they can add and pull timing and adjust your af. The VEC will control your nitrous also if you want. I called Roe originally and they said that they were too busy and they sent me to True Performance.

Gotcha....I am familiar w/ the Vec.....damn those are spendy!!!!! I'll probably hold of on that for awhile....but that seems to be the best bet since you can have street tune and a Nos Tune.....and maybe a NOS tune w/ Race Gas!!!!??
 
thats the only way you will benefit from the race gas.....add more timing with the VEC. I like it because I can hook the laptop up while im running and make adjustments between runs.
