Just got my 06 RC

I need exhaust pretty badly but don't want to drop 700bux

I looked on fleabay and saw some wierd brands around 350?

Honestly anything is better than stock, or even a used setup

Welcome from Maryland. Congrats on the truck enjoy. Some of the guys have removed parts of stock exhaust for better sound. That's pretty cheap. Sure someone can point you in the right direction.

Welcome from Texas. Check out our SnakeBite Side Exit or Rear Exit exhausts. Gets rid of the UPS truck sound and doesn't have the raspy, popping exhaust note of other systems.

also random question how do you take off the tonneau cover
do you unbolt the 6 bolts or turn the screws lose on the lift thingys?

B&B Exhaust is the way to go.. Great sound. All stainless... Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Fyi stock exhaust is not 3" its 2 1/2. I agree with treker get some nice headers like b&b but the are spendy somewhere around 2500? You get what you pay for and nothing on these trucks are cheap

To remove the tonneau just twist the ends of the lift arms at the brackets on the bed and remove the two bolts at the front of the bed. It's kinda heavy so you may want a second person to help lift it. The snakebite is the best sounding exhaust in my opinion.
