hey jeff...so this is what's on the other side of the fence!!!ViperJeff said:CarAndDriver came to one of the other websites looking for volunteers and Dan Stepped Up!
like jeff said...basically, i was shootin the shit at the right place and the right time...my slave cylinder just gave out one day...totally out of the blue at about 20k miles...just a faulty part i guess...i know about the other upgrades...they're in the works...just ordered my clutch, but i'm not goin with the whole hydro upgrade just yet...simply for cost...when the first article in 04 came out...it was a mixed review, but seemed everybody out there, including the other car owners, were stoked about it and most, if not all, of them rode in it during the "testing"..."my" editor for the day hadn't even driven one yet...looked to me like my truck was "out" the longest...but maybe i'm a bit biased...but seemed like it...all in all, more fun than a moonshiner's house party, as they put it, and honestly one of the most rewarding and pleasurable experiences of my life to date...:congrats:TREKER said:How were you contacted for that thing with C&D? Sorry, just insterested....
There was a comment about the specific fact that there was no problems ever reported by the dealers with the master/slave cylinder in our trucks. Did you have a problem? The plastic internals have been an issue on the heavier trucks. Clutch upgrades by our vendors offer metal internal with a centerforce clutch upgrade.
