K & N Cold Air Intake

Sorry,I don't.I have a nice digital camera,but haven't figured out how to get my pics to computer yet.And I don't have it here with me now,either. :eek:
 
I went back to stock intake to have one less thing to get busted for.Yes,in Virginia they will give tickets for intake sound !!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that I ever noticed anything ,but if they have me open the hood and see it was modified,then I could get a ticket.New batch of troopers here are really gung-ho about being pricks.:mad:

It worked really well for me.I had it insulated (even the intake tube) and added extra metal pieces to further isolate it from the engine bay.The insulation has been removed,but the extra pieces are still on it.Looks good.

( I also have stock exhaust now,but 3" catless mids :D ) No restriction,but not loud either.)

Didn't know that modifications to the intake were illegal in VA. I'm in NOVA and when I get pulled over I don't get any looking into under the hood. Kind of disappointing that our wonderful commonwealth would care what is under my hood when they have a bunch of other things they could be doing with road rage up here.
 
Yep.It is a modification of the noise control system( or something like that).Only dick heads even look,but.............we have a LOT of those here.New ones just started and will write you for ANYTHING they can find. Besides,I am infamous for ............several things, and they want me bad.Troopers never forget or forgive.

I guess I know what you mean about writing you up for anything. I have a year and a half old X5 and due to being absent minded and a little non-caring. I let my state inspection expire, no big deal you would think. Well you now I have been pulled over and ticketed for it twice. I'm like, WTF. This car is safer than the POS you ride in, so why not leave me alone?? I was going to try to wait it out for the emissions test so I could sync the months up, but at this rate I'm going to get about 10 more before the emissions comes due.

Good luck with the sale. I would make you an offer but my wife is getting a little annoyed with all the recent packages showing up on my porch :dontknow:
 
Well then bring it down and I'll do a FREE install ! No packages,never sees you changing things,never has to know ! :D
