I've seen several posts claiming that the factory airbox is the best CAI. I am planning on ordering a K&N cone filter; what kind of h.p. gains can I expect? Is it noticeable, or little to nothing?

Do any members have any measurable data?

Thanks!

Not really noticeable but a few hp.Look at JMB Performance before you buy the K&N, about the same price and JMB's look awesome.

The stock box will keep your intake air cooler than most any CAI out there...cooler air means more HP......you are not going to gain any noticable power going with a higher flow filter........

...I do have a used cone filter if you are interested.....looks almost new...cleaned, oiled and ready to install...$50 shipped lower 48..

I put the K&N in mine, and removed the left plastic shield thats on the grill. I would LIKE to say I noticed a little bit on higher RPMs. But, rarely do I drive the truck at 4500rpms.
