i've got a K&N Intake and filter....i want to clean the filter but i'm not sure i want to oil the filter...... any pros or cons to not oiling after it's been cleaned?

The oil stops the finer dirt like dust from going through the gauze fabric, from my understanding. Get a AEM oilless filter and stick on the end of the CAI tube??

idk much but i know the oil probably makes it last longer and filter better, i already had to buy another volant filter for my truck long story but i will use the oil to save the 80 bucks it cost to buy another filter

The oil helps catch contaminants.

i'm pretty sure that it really dosen't matter but does any one else have an idea about this?

oiled will make it filter a lot better from my experience.

I would go with an oil free filter if maintenance was a problem.

ya could always go with an oil bath set up
