Kawasaki Announces All-New Z1000 For 2007

next year is going to be KILLER for Kawasaki and KTM. Kawi is going to release a race version of the ZX10, and an all new 636-supposedly. and KTM has rumbled that we might get the v twin superbike, the RC8.
the zx14 is probably the best streetbike i have ever rode. the tranny is flawless, and so is the clutch, even after hundreds of holeshots and 2nd gear snatch up wheelies. it feels nimble and its super comfortable, and fast as F&*k. the busa is like riding a refridgerator, compared to the ZX14, and there are ZERO bugs with it, they really did a good job before it was released.
if i was going to the track and wanted the best all out sportbike, then the Zx10 is prob the best for me. Kawis are so friggin stable and reliable. i dont really know of any specs of the z1000, as the internet knows more than the dealers do! i get to see it Sept 21, i can post some pics etc after then on all of the new Kawi's

I agree Gary, Kawasaki has been extremly agressive the last couple years and will definately be '07.

I love the ZX-14, there are a lot of rumors on the net about a sport/touring version going to be annouced in January/February.

I personally think, there is a lot left in the ZX-14 and will be coming out with a revised version to compete with the new Hayabusa when ever it comes out...

The only tweaking I heard that is needed is the secondary throttle plates are to restrictive in the low end, but when they are removed create a lean effect on the lower end. Removing the secondary throttle plates does increase horsepower but to the point of hyperactive very sensitive low end.

I am not a mechanic but I have been following the ZX-14 very closely as I want one myself in the near future.

Here's a link to some of what I have been following:
