Keep my fiance in your prayers!

Again thanks for all the prayers...

This has been a long journey of finding out what's going on with him. Today, we were advised that he is battling multiple sclerosis (MS). We caught it in time to start treatment to attempt to return his ability to function after an attack to also prevent new attacks and possibly avoid disability. He is a very strong man, lol, stronger at heart than myself. I know he will fight this disease, and not let it get the best of him. I won't be on here as often as I use to be b/c I really want to educate myself on this disease, as well as learn how to administer his weekly shots. I will be checking in on you guys. :p Plus, now more than ever I need to get started on our wedding plans. I will definitely offer invites to those that want to come. All is welcome to attend. Again, thanks for the needed support. :burnout:

I know what you are going through, My girlfriend found out last year she had MS also, he is lucky for weekly shots :D cause my girlfriend has to do daily shots, and rotate injection shots.

If you don't mind me asking how many spots did they see, spine and brain.

she had 3 on her spine and few on her brain but after more MRI'S spot seemed to be holding same which was good, the meds were working :D

If ya ever need someone to talk to you or him, I'm sure she would be more then happy to share info with you guys :)

They didn't tell us how many they saw. We have another appointment in 6 weeks. The medicine he will be taking is Avonex. He doesn't have to take shot under skin but in a muscle so won't cause skin irritation, plus that's the only one that offers 1x week. The drug company also gives a year supply free and sends out a nurse to show us how to administer shot. I would definitely love to speak with her. I'm glad the mess are working for her.
