ive got a fellow employee thats been working for me for 9 years, him and his wife are team over the road drivers, he's been having some headache's and blood pressure problems for the past couple of weeks. went to the doctor and found out that he has a brain tumor and cancer in his lungs and liver. doesnt sound too good. he's a standup guy, vietnam veteran too. his wifed said the chemo and radiation he's taking is giving him a hard time.

Man, that has to be the worst way to end a life, or the worst way to spend your later years. Both my grandfathers died of horrible circumstances brought on by cancer, tumors, and many, many other complications related to that. This post should be in the "Offensive" category, because it is just horribly offensive that human beings have to go through such an ordeal. It it seems like it only happens to the good ones. Who ever heard of a jerk getting cancer? Never have. I wish the guy and his family all the best.

I work in the oncology field, if you have any questions or if they need some direction let me know. On a positive note, my admin assistant's husband has survived a brain tumor and has been cancer free for over 1.5 years and has been back on the force protecting us for the last year.

It is possible to beat the prognosis. Keep the faith and encourge them to get all the information they can.
