Planning on installing one of these to help keep the fuel pressure up. Tony and Torrie both recommended one. Has anyone had experience installing one?
I know Larry has one on his, but I think he had the dealer install it. And from what I remember he said that they had to remove the tank. Just wondering if anyone else has installed one and if the tank must be removed. It looks like it's pretty easy to install. Thanks for any help.

pm tnviper:)
We chatted when I first started this. He had the dealer do his and he said that they had to remove the tank. I would figure there has to be somewhere else to tap into the harness, besides having to drop the tank. But, if I have to drop the tank, then I will.

send a pm to scrambler1 and get him to give you the number to the guys that are doing his build, they work alot with kenne bell and did the proto work for the kenne bell supercharger for the challengers

Done it on 2 vipers, but non on a truck :( Sorry can t be much help in the install area... Definitely would be a good DIY writeup!

I don't want to be a bother to him. But if you can ask him which wire he tapped into? That would be great. Also, where did he mount the Boost a Pump unit?

I will get in touch with him. He mounted the box in the tray behind the driver's seat. You can put it almost anywhere on the truck as long as it is protected from water and heat.

Were you able to get a hold of your tech? I think I found the wire I need to tap into. I believe it's the Orange/Red wire. It looks like I just tap into that wire and I'm good to go. Would like to know for sure before I go cutting wires. :) Just want to make sure it actually is that easy. Thanks bud.

The tech that did mine is no longer working there. I was thinking the SRT Tech had done it...But it just occured to me the reason they pulled the tank was to remove the MSD booster...not sure though...I left word for the guy to call me.

You will need a relay to resolve an issue with the PCM. Without the relay it detects the higher voltage and shuts the pump down.

Thanks Larry. Yeah, if you can get that info, that would be great. I have the boost a pump coming and I have no idea where to put the relay. I thought I would be able to just tap into the signal wire to the fuel pump module, but I guess not.:(

Don't have to remove the tank. Wire it inline with the fuel pump wiring. Unless you are changing out your pump?

They put the relay next to the fuse box under the hood...I should hear from the tech in a day or 2..

Thanks guys. You know I'm stupid, though. Are we talking a regular Bosch type relay? If so, can you provide me a simple wiring schematic? Sorry, but I don't want to screw this up. I've gotten this far.

You should have the relay with the kit.

Do you not have the instructions with your kit?

Don't worry, it comes in the kit.
