Hi All,
Haven't been on here for while. Still an excellent place for info.
I have a 2006 RC.
Today in 3rd gear at 5000 rpm the transmission felt like it disengaged from the engine (best way I can describe it, I'm no mechanic)
After that, it kept doing it.......once I get close to 5000 rpm it pops outta gear.
I pulled over & put it in 1st. When I hit 5k it not only came outta gear but it backfired a couple times?
Now, few hours later........ I just drove it down the street. It won't even stay it first gear at 2000 rpm. The shifter itself doesn't pop outta gear, but the trans sure does........it then stalled & wouldn't start.
Gave it a few minutes, it started up & I parked it.
Any ideas out there?
Truck was built by Dan at SPT. However, he's closing the shop. Now I need a new mechanic I can trust.
