Last Clutch Question!

All right guys I am changing the clutch master/slave cyl. I am going with the Centerforce clutch stock fly wheel and Mast/Slave Cyl. Upgrade. Does this sound like the right set up? I have looked through the posts and this seems to be the right. From my understanding with the gear ratio in the 04 the light fly wheel would do more bad than good. So any last minute input before I order?

Stick with the stock flywheel, although you should put in a new one (they are faily inexpensive) when you swap out the clutch/slave.

If you dont do it yourself, double check that the fluid line is insulated and tie wrapped up away from the exhaust.

You are on track...just be sure to go the safe route...five hundred in-traffic miles before you test the clutch...it is hard to do...but it will pay dividends.

AND make sure you brake in the centerforce the right way or it will chatter like a mofo

If you have the money I have DC's flywheel and the act clucth and love both. The grab is amazing at the track, yet I can still slip it on the track.

First I have heard of that. There are many trucks out there with the fidanza with no problems.

What you have ordered will work fine. Proper break in period is a must. 500 low rpms only, city style miles. You will love the new feel of the truck when its all said and done.

After running with the Fidenza for 6months I went back to the stock flywheel. The Fidenza is too light for everyday driving, expecially if you have to drive much in traffic. The DC flywheel may be the best of both worlds as it is lighter than the stocker but not as light as the Fidenza.

Patrick, to me, it solved the slight hesitation in getting rolling. The rotating weight seemed to help in overcoming the moment of inertia...the concept was discussed by Includemeout last year sometime...and he made a believer of me.

It was just much more like driving a regular standard transmission vehicle from a stop...I did not have to rev a little higher to keep from bogging...

But I am old...and maybe just not as adept as I used to be...

Does that make any sense????
