Did anyone watch what they are saying was the last shuttle mission?
While I don't consider this a "mission", I thought it was cool. Made several passes by the space center and along the coast.
I was not there, but watched via the feed on CNN. When it gets to Washington DC, it's supposed to make several passes there as well.

Here are some screen captures from the live feed this morning.

"We do have a crew patch for this series of missions," Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) chief pilot Jeff Moultrie told collectSPACE. "There's an approved NASA patch that we are going to be using for all three shuttle ferries."

Moultrie, together with fellow pilot Bill Rieke and a crew of flight engineers, are scheduled to fly Discovery, mounted atop the 747, to Washington, D.C. on Tuesday (April 17), weather permitting. Landing at Dulles International Airport, the orbiter will then be offloaded by crane and towed to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center for its permanent display.
A week later, the same flight crew will fly the test shuttle Enterprise, which had been on display at the Udvar-Hazy Center since 2003, to New York. Then in September, the 747 will leave on its final ferry flight carrying Endeavour to Los Angeles for the California Science Center.

When the Shuttle was being developed I took my kids out to Edwards Air force base for the annual air show and they had the 747 with the Enterprise sitting up on it's back down on the flight line. Man, you think you know how big that thing is, but until you get to be up that close looking up at it you don't REALLY know.

Read the story earlier. Pretty cool wish i could of seen it live in person. Story said something about them bringing it down to Los Angeles, CA one day also

They are bringing one of the shuttles to LA. It will end up at the Museum of Science and Industry in Exposition Park. There is an SR-71 there already.
