caltracs,SC or turbo(s),rear end,shaved calipers,drag tires...:dontknow: :D

Don't slip the clutch unless you want to get a new one. RPM launch can vary by how good the track is hooking. I would try around 3000 RPM launch and dump the clutch. It it spins real bad lower your RPM's and if it bogs too much raise your RPM's. Focus on your starts if that is your goal and don't let the other things worry you. Once you feel comfortable on your launches then maybe direct you attention to the lights. One step at a time and lots and lots of practice.

so which one is it

LOLOL either one works bo, the VHT trackbite is easier to apply , you can do it at the track.

the VP softener you need to actually soak the tires a day ahead of time with it.

so its jsut a case of which one is more readily available to ya, and an easier solution

Keep all the weight you can in the rear, drop air pressure to no lower than 18-20 psi
The best way to tell ya how to take off is to pretend you are at a stop light in the wrong lane, and you have to beat the soccer mom in her mini van off the line, cut in front of her and make the turn into the gas stop before you run out:D
