I replaced my NOS, Bottle Heater and Line Lock switches tonight to LED switches. I rewired all 3 accessories as well with all new connections. All of the accessories have their own ground coming off close to where they are mounted.....the switches I only have the power supply on one terminal and another wire going to the accessory which has its own ground. The switch has a thrid terminal for a ground which I did not wire......yet. I didn't think I needed it cause of the other grounds straight off the accesory. Well after testing.....I know now I need the ground off the switch to make it light up. Was getting too late to finish.

Here is my question though. The NOS box containing the selonoids has an idicator led. I flipped the switch which did not light up but the indicator on the box did. However.....the selonoids weren't firing. Its like it is not getting enough juice to click em open. Might adding a ground off the switch increase the juice through the circuit....or will adding the ground just make the light on the switch come on?

Damn that took a lot of words and its probably confusing but I can't sleep so what the hell:dontknow:

We may need a phone call on this one, but if I was to guess....You may have wired the load side (solenoids) to the LED circuit on the switch. The solenoids themselves are completing the circuit to ground and lighting the LED (probably very dim) because of the high resistance to ground (solenoid coils) but the circuit itself cannot maintain the load of the solenoid. The LED or diode cannot handle or pass a load as it is not designed to do so, eventually burning out the LED. Check the wiring on your switches closely and make sure that you have the line and load side wired correctly. If this is a new installation, meaning power, solenoids, switches, etc. you may have other issues. If its an exsisting installation and you just addded the switches, it should be an easy fix.

Give me a call if you like. I will need more details to assist on this if this doesnt get it for you.... 520-237-4342.
