Well as most of you know, I'm not serious that often, unless it's a technical question, and even then I might joke around a little. So please bear with me on this.

As most of you know Mikey (TheSickness), with the help of Shawn (Iltmprd) has found a job in Arizona (lucky bastard;) :D ). Unfortuneately due to financial issues Mikey's family will not be able to move with him right away. I'm really hoping that this family here can find it possible to help out Mikey on this. I'm going to pay for half of his rental truck for the move. I also have a bunch of U-Haul packing boxes that he can have.

I have during the course of my life had job assignments that took me away from home for up to 4 months at a time. I know others of you have done the same thing for even longer periods of time and know what it's like. I'm just hoping that we can keep this period of separation as short as possible for Mikey and his family.

I have discussed this with Jack (FstJack) and he has kindly agreed to be the focal for this collection. You can PM either Jack or myself for Jack's address.

Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated by myself, Mikey, and his family.

I want to thank each and every one of you whether you can help out or not, because I know you will still be supporting Mikey no matter what.

I love this group of people.

Thank you.

Help Mike's family move

Silverback and I talked about this today.
John aproached me about what I thought regarding something we could all do to help Mike and his family move. I normally don't get involved with too many causes here beacuse of my position of ownership on the Forum. After discussing and disceminating some information from John, I agreed that this was a very good thing to do.
If you do not know Mike is moving himself and his family to Tucson, AZ.
Shawn (Iltmprd) and his family are letting Mike live with them untill Mike can save up enough money to get his own place. Then Marne and their son will join Mike in Tucson. Mike has found a job in Tucson.

Without help the family will be separated for months and months.
I have talked to Mike and Marne at length. Marne is very up beat about the oportunity they have as is Mike. But the mention of the time the family will be separated brings on tears. They have been through a lot of tribulations in the last 2 years, most of which was out of their control. Separations are tough on any family.

I feel that we are all put here on earth for the purpose of helping each other. When I do something for somebody else without the expectation of reward or accolade I get to have a good day and feel good about myself. I like to feel good so I have to do something good for another human being every day.
If there is a way you can help this family out please do so. With our help they can be reunited much sooner.

We are a big extended family here. I am happy to think that I am a part of something that has the power to help people and families. I can't do it by myself, but we can !

I will be the collection the money for the moving expenses.
I don't care if all you can send is 1 dollar, it will help. All monies sent to me will remain anonymous unless you request otherwise.

Mikey is one of the best people (along with his wife and son) I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mikey was the second person I met on the old forum. Dallas was the first. I have to mention that Dallas is a great guy also, as are 99.9% of the owners of these trucks. Anyway, Mikey and I live relatively close to each other (within 50 miles or so) and I'm going to miss the hell out of the big lug more than words can discribe.

If you ever have the pleasure of meeting Mikey the first thing he will do is hug you like you are a long lost brother. After that you will have a friend for life that you will never forget.

.................This is a great cause.....Anyone who can do so please donate and help Mike and his family...........

We're gonna help!!:D

God wants us to do this for each other. I remember the story in the Bible about the boy who has food enough for himself, but he gives it to Jesus who feeds the masses from it!! Thank goodness that little boy was not selfish, because many people ate from that food. :dancing:

Mikey and Marne know we don't have much right now, but what we do have will definitley have their names on a piece of it :D We would have it no other way. As soon as my check comes, I will send what I can off to Jack:rock:

Thank you Silverback, Jack and everyone else who is up for helping out true a friends!:D :star:

Good morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't want this important thread to get buried by the night HO's:eek: :D

Congrats Mikey on the job and hopefully your family will be joining you sooner than later :D Let's keep them cards and letters coming:rock:

Come on guys. Most drop 40-50 bucks easy at a bar. Please help where you can. Paypal $10, whatever you can give. But please don't feel pressured as I know not everyone is in a position to give. But this group has done Wonders. Phil is out of the hospital. Sickness has a job. Hopefully I'm next.

MIKEY,

All I can do at this point is send my love. Thanks for being an HONEST and AWESOME friend

Don't give away all your moving boxes....Your my next victim. You forget who I work for, oh fury one.....(aerospace company) muhuhahahaha! :D ;)

Thank You Silver and Jack. I know this is going to be a huge transition for our family and a VERY lonely one as well. I REALLY appreciate everything you are doing and everybody else is doing. Some people know Mike, not many know me. Mike and I are 2 peas in a pod, we RARELY do anything apart. This is going to be a rough time for all of us, but we are in for the long haul. We have had it rough for quite a few years, but I believe this move is what our family needs at this time. I know this is going to be roughest on Jalen, but he is a VERY strong young man and I believe he will manage. We have a family here on this forum and we have a family in Arizona. I think things will work out in the long run.

Thank You VERY much Shawn and Joanna. We love you and I cannot wait to get down there.:p

You are very fine people of which good things will come in the future. I'm sure of it.

Mikey, I'm located in Phoenix. If there is anything at all that you need from up north, let me know.

Mikey, I already told you what I will be able to do to help your family out in this tough situation. I know I'm not the biggest "ho" on this forum, but I have been around long enough to know what you mean to everyone here. Keep your chin up, all will be well soon. Take care brother.
