As i was cleaning my Desert Eagle .50 on thursday, i was thinking that i want to get a different finish on it. Its still the base black. How do you all like your finishes? Which one would you recommend getting? I was thinking the polished and blued, or the black chrome, I'd so get the tigerstripped one if i was more of a pimp. But i just can't do that to my gun.
I myself really like the Matte Chrome, it is very durable and doesn't mark very easily. I think some of their other finishes look better, but in the end I am happy with what I have.

Very nice. My Desert Eagle is Matte Chrome, yours looks to be brushed Chrome, am I right. Also I purchased the scope and mount right from Magnum Research.

That's right, I have the brushed chrome. I didn't want the bling factor with the polished chrome or nickel.

I've been thinking about a Glock 10mm, any thoughts on that one?

I much prefer the Benelli M1 Super Black Eagle(might be called the M2 Tactical, now).I have an insane amount of "hardware" including Class 3 weapons and I have only seen one of the Street Sweepers in my life. They are very cool, though.

I have 2 large Browning safes, so all but 2 of them is locked up all the time. I keep the Glock 30 at work J.I.C., and I keep the Glock 21 loaded and ready to go in my room. I started at a very early age to take the mystery and couriosity out of firearms for my son. I told him anytime he wants to see one, or handle one, I would make sure it was unloaded, show him it was unloaded and let him handle it. After a few years he wasn't courios about them when he was at home. Then I would take him out shooting and (after I tought him the safe way) let him fire them. I feel if you make it the "forbidden fruit" you are looking for trouble when you are not around.

Amen Begood. That the only way to do it! I brought my son out shooting just yesterday - he is 8. He is already learning gun safety and is safer with a firearm than most people I see. ALWAYS use your safety, ALWAYS clear the chamber, ALWAYS assume its loaded - even when you know its not!, ALWAYS know where your pointing the barrel.

My son got to fire a .45 Thompson yesterday - very cool piece with almost no recoil.

I've posted this before but my firearms are:
Colt 1911M1 .45

Stainless Berretta 92F 9mm

Keltec 380

Ruger 44 Mag

Plus a number of rifles, Remington 760 Gamemaster 30-06 pump, Remington 12 guage, Ruger 10/22, Winchester 22 single shot, Remington .308

I really want to find a nice M1 Garand and an M4 Carbine...

I like Glocks a lot. They are a tool, not pretty or flashy, but dependable as a hammer. The reason I own Glocks is because they take so much abuse and still work perfectly everytime. I prefer to shoot my Colts much more, but when I carry concelled, it is Glock all the way. Sweat, heat, practically nothing hurts them. As far as a 10mm is concerned, it is a very nice round, however it is also very powerful, you must be carful of over penitration (going through your target and hitting something else). Good choice either way. IMO

A glock 22 that I bought a few weeks back. I couldnt resist It is stamped SAPD. Sleeps in the top drawer next to my bed with its 15 little Hollow Point Friends.

I dont but I have an uncle that likes to play. He has been a jeweler for years and loves doing gun work. That started out as a plain classic and he did all the work, jeweling, cutting and drilling. He even slabbed fit and polished the grips. Funny thing was before he put that comp on he called wilson combat to buy it. He asked a few questions and the guy basically told him if you arent a gunsmith dont try it since you chop the barrel. You can see that it is on there and has no issues. We had to play with the return spring to get it right but is shoots like a dream and has very little recoil although its loud as hell. I tell my uncle that he should do this for a living, this is only a piece of what I have seen him do. Built a very nice AR that I dont have pictures of. He also helped me with .22 that was all volquartsen on a Fajen thumbhole laminate stock, sadly I sold that one.
