ok after i get my income tax back im looking into completely redoing my nitrous set up.. pretty much starting from scratch..im just looking for others insight in the choices im making..here some history on my motor my current build that i am picking up this coming monday is......forged JE pistons, forged callie rods.arp head bolts.custom grind nitrous cam an ported heads an portmatched motor. the rings on the pistons are also loosend up or thats what my builder told me....he is what im thinking id like to run a 200-300 shot of spray with a dedicated fuel system with 110 octane race fuel in it..with a progressive controller also running a back up window switch.. now my question is.. should i go direct port or with a plate? my local nitrous dealer has a plate made for the v-10 the only 1 in production....an how safe do you think the shots im thinking about running are?
 
If the plate he has fabricated will furnish the same amount of Nitrous and Fuel to each cylinder it should be good. Just be sure, no matter which way you go, that you do not have a CHANCE for fuel starvation to any cylinder.
I have used a Cold Fusion, twin nozzle system that I bought from a dealer who is great. It is adjustable from 100 hp to 400 hp. The best part was a reasonable price. JMB Justin has more experience with nitrous than anyone on the forum, you might want to talk to him before you do anything. Can you post up a picture of the V-10 Nitrous Plate.

a direct port is actually the best way , but a plate will work,

now on the rings.........what type are they?

on most of the applications a decent ring set is good for about a 200shot, the hell fire ringset is good for 200 and over

to be honest tony i dont know what type of rings david put in the motor but hell if a stock piston an ring can handle a 150 i'd think after market could do at least 225 maybe more

they can bo, up to and over 200hp, but for continous or frequent over 200 shots most prefer the hell fires.

dont take my statement wrong bud:D
the stainless rings left loose you will be fine:rock: that way the rings will swell up a touch under pressure.and you will make killer hp.

this is jsut what vick told me at wiseco, that extended shots over 200 should have different rings, but we all know how flexible things are:D

o i didnt take it wrong....im just hoping to make a touch over 700hp spraying around a 175-200 shot an more if i can get away with it safely...i know people look down on street racing but most of my nitrous spraying will be done at over 70mph on a highway in mexico some where.... it should make damn good hp up top between 3200 an 5500 rpm with this cam that he has talked me into...im just thinkg i can get away spraying more if i use the progressive controler becuase it brings on the spray like boost you build up to the total shot..it dosent just slam on all of a sudden

dude with a progressive controller I think(and I am not a nos guy by no means;) ) but you should be good to at least 250 or so shot, and you should make over 700hp:rock: :burnout:
 
When it comes to these trucks I'm not as knowledgeable as many of the outstanding people in this club are, but I have built a few purpose track cars that were set up for the spray. A plate is good for reliable power up to around 200, but when you start going over that you are talking about a lot of spray and fuel and don’t want to take a chance in running lien in any one cylinder. If you are trying to go 300+ I would suggest a proshot setup. But this is just my opinion and is based mostly on small block setups. I have seen the quickness at what a 300 shoot of NOS can destroy a purpose built motor @ 5K rpms if you loose fuel or one cylinder runs lien and it sucks!!

Just by Justins set up....................proven LOW 11's on a stock block.

i hope your right lol im just tring to take care of this motor as much as i can an i think that running the controller will be alot less stress on the motor..an i hope to make at least 580hp N/A after headers an a tune an then put a 200 shot on top of it an just beat the hell out of all these L's running around here =P they are going to want to play when they read my plates....RIP-SVT....im just making sure i can back it up

your doing it the correct way, the hard initial hit to me is what pounds the poop outta the bearings, doing it progressivly makes the hit alot softer, and make the bearings last a ton longer:rock:

an the traction will be tons stronger also;)
 
an iv looked into jutsins kit an iv got everything to do the kit lol..im just looking for whatset up to go with an im not tring to knock justin's work but i can get a dirrect port nitrous set up from a local guy here for less with everything done under the intake ..an since im more of the sneeky guy i dont want people to know im spraying..so im leaning towards haveing nitrodave do it " hes big on the lstech forum" an hes done 7 viper intakes with good results..so im just leaning towards a local guy that i can stop by an check out the progress ya know?.....
