Any recommendations on which line lock kit to use ? :dontknow:

Otherwise will just pick one of the universal kits at Jegs..

I just installed a Hurst kit. Stinker has the same.

What is a line lock
It is my understanding that a line lock is a brake system. You engage the brakes, then engage the line lock. It shuts a valve on the front brake line. Then you let off the brake peddle. The rear brakes release and the front brakes stay engaged.

Now it is easy to smoke the tires for a drag run.

You press a button so the truck doesn't roll off the line.

Anyone here really expecting to use this to keep them at the line? I'm not counting it to do anything more than help with the burnout, since the line lock is just maintaining pressure on the front brakes. Foot brake and clutch should be all RC's use at the line.

I haven't heard of any QC's modded for a trans brake yet, but that's definitely THE way to launch an auto trans vehicle. Any QC owners looking to do this any time soon?

Had unequal wheel spin... possible led to the detonation of spiders and side gears when using the brake pedal. Line lock eliminated the cumbersome time I had trying to cover the brake, throttle...ect in the burnout box. Feet were too big to try and make the transition smoothly...line lock eliminated that.

With the line lock...

I also did as Mike said, and upgraded the switch.

2 stage line lock......coming soon....

press the button and the fronts lock and the computer sets the rpm to a preset....in my case 2500 rpm with the pedal pressed all the way to the floor...release the button and the brakes free up and the rpm lock lets go....IE when the 3rd amber hits the pedal is already all the way to the floor....great r/t's....

Put a better solenoid and bigger hose in for the Cow Bell!

QUESTION:
Does anyone have the line lock matched up with the brake lights?
Meaning- when the line lock is on, the brake lights are on. Apparently that's the only street legal way to do it.

If you do have it wired up like that, please let me know how you did it. The Hurst instructions are....ahem.....simplistic.

Pics would be awesome.
TIA
