Everything seems to have went fine. The doc said that the big bone spur protruding downward from my leg bone had worn a hole in the upper part of my foot bone (inside the ankle socket). So he was a little surprised to see that. He removed the spur, cleaned up all the garbage and packed the hole with cartlidge (I didn't know they could do that :dontknow: ).

So far I don't feel too bad. Got lots of drugs to keep the pain away. :rock:



Right now I am trying to get my wireless connection working on my laptop so I can do this from my bed instead of sitting up in my office. Between the pain meds and the fact that I am no computer genius, it's pretty much kicking my butt.

Looks like the lap top is not going to work. It's my gov't issue computer and I can't install my network software on it. Bummer.

Got some bad news from the physical therapist today. I went into this surgery expecting 4-5 days on crutches followed by 3 weeks of therapy.

After finding the hole in my bone and doing those repairs, I am now looking at 4 wks on crutches (and PT) followed by 4 more weeks of PT (8 wks total).

Crutches suck.

Ankle is doing much better now. Crutches are kicking my a$$ though.

Ha, That's the worst part man. My wife is on a 2 week trip out of town (for work). So I am taking care of my 8 y/o son (or rather, the 8 y/o is taking care of me, lol). Gotta do what you gotta do though. :dontknow:

I don't think I would have made it without the painkillers. :rock:
