Outdid me again Tim. I only have 3 right now but enjoying them all

Didn't mean to outdo anyone, my friend.....

It's just an era gone by, but the memories are still fulfilling. I do cherish those moments. Like the hummers, you blink and they're gone....

Enjoy those mad, dive bombing little guys.....

Long live the pendulum display......

Hummers rule....

This has become a family affair. Got Gram to do it last night as well but enjoyed it with her without the camera

That's a Red Bellied Woodpecker. I don't know how they came up with that name but I've got a couple here too. Cool birds and quite large!

Roy,

I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed that same cycle firsthand. But the sight of it always brings a lump to my throat..... Awesome little video.... worth seeing time and time again..... It gives one a proper perspective whenever life gets a bit too complicated.

Well after posting the video I went out to check our blue bird nest...and it has been raided. The fledgling is gone, the remaining egg was broken and mostly eaten. I cleaned the box, and spread the nest materials near the nest box...hope they will try again.

What a blessing to be able to watch a humming bird nest...I look forward to that someday!

Nature is not often kind........ It can really break yer heart ... if ya have one to break... Many times I've had to 'suck up' the raided nest and associated carnage..... fkn crows can be mean fkn bastards...

If anyone knows about brood predators like cowbirds..... That's whole other mindfuck for tender hearted birders and others whose feelings are easily wounded....

Nature is tough....... very tough...

Again, awesome video, Roy.....

Glad our Ohio bro liked it, too........
