Locked up Engine.

I was supposed to be getting a until that was locked up, as in complete engine assembly valve covers, stock exhaust and all the other goodies, in exchange for some transmission work. Well now that the transmission is done and it's time for me to collect the engine I'm getting "well I was looking for 1500$ for it." My question here is what would a complete locked up engine be worth. I'm trying to not get it in the a$$.

It's worth nothing until you know for sure what the cause is!!

Chrysler drove it without oil, after installation of the heads.

It's only worth what parts on it are currently good. So 1k tops for the heads and intake. The crank is probably trash. And the block might be as well

That's about what I was thinking. 1K TOPS!! THIS guy is partial to it which is understandable but don't screw me cause you don't want to come off of it, after we made an agreement. This has try he potential to end terrible.

I don't have an issue with getting paid, but I wanted the damn motor. I'm going to tree all to him tomorrow people tend to be more willing to compromise when your speaking face to face.
