Now that I have 2 of these bad boys, I am thinking of leaving the CE with as little miles as possible. Does anyone know of any good tips for long term storage. I have read a few tips. Condition seals. Full tank of gas, disconnect and remove battery, change oil, freshen coolant and brake fluid. rotate tires for flat spots, wash wax and cover, use absorbent material in interior etc....

Personally, I think you'd be a lot better off if you leave it in a position to be started and driven a little bit every month or so at a minimum.

I agree, but I really would like to keep down the miles to a minimum. Not sure how fuel does over very long periods of time.

wow... where did you find number 200/200????? I don't blame you for wanting to keep the miles down on that one

Understand, I'd still start it and move it that's going to be a lot better for it than it just sitting there, IMHO.

I believe that Steve's suggestion is best..... I only drive mine on occasion as well.

But I would certainly buy a can of fuel stabilizer if you're gonna actually park it for very long..... Old gas can really ferk things up in there.... Gum city.

Burn one tank a month - that will take care of it. Low mileage, fresh gas - ahhhhhhhhhhh :)

Congrats on the newbie... NICE :D

This is what I do with my 64 Thunderbird and yes it's a pain but it defently helps. I cover the tires with trash bags, take out every spark plug and poor a table spoon of oil in each cylinder. Wash the vehicle, cover it and put the vehicle on jackstands.
