Did a search and didn't find an answer so I thought I'd ask. I have a set of Mopar long tube headers and wondered if I can install them with out the ECU being upgrading. I know the better the motor breaths the more power it will make so to speak. I'm a little worried about it not running correctly but I thought the OEM ecu would relearn and adjust but I'm reading conflicting info, I understand it will not make the power that the Stage 2 ECU will provide.

You will be fine ;) You can run the stock PCM with exhaust upgrades.

Now if you want the most out of those mods then a stage II flash or VEC3 should be on your short list.

your check engine light wll come on because you are not using the cats, but thats it. with the upgraded computer it corrects that.

The computer will adjust , but what mids will you run, unless I missed it ?

If you run catless, pm me I can give you a couple possible cures on the check engine light.

you should gain tons an tons of torque with the lts:rock:

you will benefit from the long tubes espec w/ catless mids with out having to do anything to the PCM. Just disconnec battery before install then connect after and away you go.

Sweet:rock:   I figured I could get the gains with out the ECU upgrade at this point, just always like to check with everyone. As for the mids, at this point I'm gonna keep the stock mids and then I have the MBRP setup after that. I'm working on catless mids but we'll see:D Also working a NX set up, need to see what's out there I can run, thinking a two stage since the RC is so hard to launch, oh and by the way I need a clutch :(
