Looking for a new VEC2 or VEC3 or perhaps one used that has all the harnesses and stuff with it for the SRT Ram.

I'm trying to find that out as well. The VEC3 goes for $1150 from Roe (from what I'm told) vs a bit less for the VEC2. If there is no difference performance or tuning wise I'll go with the VEC2. If I get a reply from an e-mail I sent I'll pass it along.

Can someone chime in on what the Vec3 offers that the Vec2 doesn't???

The Vec 3 has a IAT feature, Intake Air Temperature correction. Therefore illiminates the need to have a summer and winter tune. It also has 2 Analog outputs to control multiple pwr adders. The software seems more stable and user friendly as well.

Yes, you can send your VEC2 to Sean and get it upgraded, I did :D

He gave me a great deal, give him a call.

got the same info about the VEC3. Roe has them listed for just under $1100 or so. Do we have enough people for a possible group buy if Roe is willing?

They don't have a group of VEC3's right now. They fab the harness on the spot when needed. Plus there are a few wires to splice for the forced induction and/or NOS input.

Dave is also going to produce a 10 foot extension for the harness, so you can mount the VEC3 control box inside the cab.

Found out the 10 foot extension is another $230 :(

Wow, he didn't tell me the price. lol

There is a plate next to the master cyl where you can drill a hole for the extension to go thru to the cab. If I was home I could take a pic and show you. Nevertheless, I believe there were 2 screws where you could remove it, drill it, and then re-mount it to the fire wall.

You can put the serial port connector inside and download tunes on the fly from your laptop or windows mobile device. Thats how I set mine up, three wires to lengthen instead of 40+.
Justin

If your laptop has a serial port. You will need an USB to serial adapter if you don't.
