Lost Cool, Broken Windshield

Without getting into the details, cellphones actually can break a windshield.
With that in mind, apparently there are three different type for ram's. What type does a 06 qc have?

Also does anyone know of a wreck that I can get the top half of the dash above the radio? (cell phones also scratch dashes)

i'm thinking if you say a tree branch fell on the window you might be able to
pull it off.. Sometime's if i loose my cool i'll roll down my window and yell FU**
as loud as i can and as many times as i can to calm down.. usually it works well! :rock:

Back onto topic..

06 QC is listed as a Ram 1500 but it actually a 3500 frame. The dash you might have some luck on Ebay.. the stealership will be insanley expensive if you go that route.

actually it was a small nokia that while in the process of getting smashed on the dash slipped out of my hand and hit the window, cracking it. Funny thing is, the phone was fine.

Have to agree with Tim.

I used to have a violent temper. Used to get into more than my share of bar fights and such.

I can honestly say, the sooner you learn to control your temper, the better off your life will be.

By the way, I'm not condemming you for what you did. I did a hell of a lot worse. Just hope it does not take something drastic to make you step back and look at yourself.

I can not speak for myself... but I have used my phones before as a release of anger.. never in my vehicle.. usually on a tile or concrete floor... I did have one that survived... sorta..

Well it's definatly not tinted. The drivers/passenger and front are not tinted.. the backs come roughly 25% tint. It's 25 because it's not quite 20%.

I think the tint is ABOVE the AS1 line (about 4 inches down from top).I would definitely get the tinted one. Any competent glass shop should know which to use.

busted into 3 or 4 peices... Guy went down...slapped it together...and then made a successful phonecall...:dontknow: Couldn't believe it.

OK first of all, a windshield is designed to take a hit from the outside not the inside. They will break very easily from the inside.

Now the Four windshields that will fit out trucks are;

DW1456GB, this is a tinted windshield with the dark green shade bar across the top 6 inches of the windshield.

DW1512GT, this is what came in our trucks from the factory, its a tinted windshield with the "third visor dot matrix" above the rear view mirror.

DW1512GB, this is the same as the one that came from the factory but it also has the dark green shade bar across the top 6 inches of the windshield.

DW1669GT, this does not have the shade bar, but it does have a Rams head above the rear view mirror. I have not seen one of these yet so I can't say what the Rams head looks like.

If I was going to put one in my truck I would use either a DW1512GB, or a DW1456GB. Because I like having the shade bar across the top.

Also your Comprensive coverage on your insurance policy will cover the replacement even though you broke it. However if you have a deductible on this coverage it will affect how much the insurance company pays.
