Low miles and dusty

Somebody planned on these being an investment, they planned poorly.

they are listed in the Autotrader "CLASSICS", thats a plus:rock:

our beasts are just now turnin 10 years old.

a bit early for the investment part, imvho.

they will bring some good coin after the auction, mostly because of the mileage at the moment.

still early, basicly

Only live about 30 minutes from there.. Wouldn't mind going over and looking at the truck to see just how well it was stored. Doesn't appear too good :dontknow:

Neither of those motors will last another 5k as long as they sat.

Wondering that myself. Garage queens, yes, play things, NO.

My second car was a '52 Chevy. Got it with 13,000 actual miles on it in 1963. For a straight 6 it was fast. Some even ask if it had a V-8. 4,000 miles later I blew the engine. "Things in motion tend to say in motion and things at rest tend to say at rest." Or break in the case of these 2 trucks. :chain:

No one thinks about the motor rusting on the inside. If it got low miles it must be good right? I have seen a few motors with a rusty cylinder from the exhaust valve sitting open during storage. Fixed a Road King stored in the storage locker with fertilizer. Every piece of chrome was rusty. Bill was over $10K

Best thing to do is remove the rockers when storing so the valves remain closed. Or fire them up once a month works too.

Appears the black trucks window is open, I bet the interior is a mess.

wonder if the batteries have been kept up???

ECM's might be D.O.A.:dontknow:
