Hi chaps

UK calling. I sell these gorgeous trucks over in the UK and a few 06 quads that we supplied have been having problems. The most serious is a lovely NightRunner that we supplied a few months back and the Oil pressure is below 30 on idle when warm. The oil doesnt look like its gettingt to the top of the engine as it ticks slightly when its warmed up. Have chaged the sender but not the pump yet. Any ideas?

Also another one from day one periodically it starts and then cuts off immediately like the immobiliser is kicking in, cant see any fault but it seems to happen more in the hot weather???!!!!!

Thanks
Charles

mine runs abut 25 psi at idle when hot. some have been using shell rotella 5w40 synthetic says it helps

My 2004 had the oil sending unit fail at 20,000 miles. Dodge pulled the engine and sent it to the engine builder. They keep it all a big secret.... No written reports as to what they did.... Calls to Dodge did not reveal any info.

Has ran fine since!

Welcome to the Forum!!

Oil pressure sounds about right to me. I agree with Steve on the second one, either the key or the TPS.
Welcome to the forum just the same!

:2in1: :2in1: Thanks guys, appreciate your input- excuse my ignorance but what is the TPS. Have tried the spare key and it still does it with that.
The oil pressure is weird because we have 4 other trucks here and none of them do the same thing. Will be re checking the filter and the oil today and will let you know the outcome.
