ok i've PM' stinker to see if he could help me.... but maybe some of you know a way or already have your truck this low..... i'v been hanging out with the local car/truck clubs around my area.. most of the guys drive pretty bad ass vettes.. and i know it's completely ass backwards to compare our trucks to a Z06 but still i want to see if you all can help me get the stance i want....here is a picture of my friends vette

if you look in the picture you see the gaps from the tire to fender.. i want my truck to sit like that.. i'm tring to stray away from having to use airbags cause just about all my past trucks have had bags.. i just can't justify cutting up a 50k MSRP truck any ideas? also i'm going to be looking at ways to put the power to the ground also

take into account the extra wieght on the front of the truck...your going to rub if you drop it to much

yes your correct i havn't thought about that.. might have to take the front wheels to a machine shop and have some of the back shaved down the clear the tire in the fender

I have Stinker's springs on the front and it is as low as the front can go without taking the front inner fender out and changing the lower control arms.

I did the 2/4 on mine but if you want to get it that low, the only way that I'm aware of is to airbag the truck. I have seen a couple on here that are airbagged and they look awesome!!:D

Ronnie, although I'm partial to the stock wheels, you have the best looking black QC I have ever seen.

Hi Sammie,
I used Stinkers kit; it's a 2/4 drop. However, we made some adjustable shackles for mine, so the rear is probably around a 3" drop.

As for the alignement, you will need to have this done if you lower the truck at all to prevent from wearing out your tires prematurely. With my particular drop, my guy had to notch out the alignement slots just a tad to make it perfect.

And yes, you can do this in your garage--having a buddy would help. The only thing that you may not be able to do is weld the flip kit to the axle. Stinker highly recommends this for preventive measures.

Good Luck!

how about the comfort in riding ?
is it alot harder ?

The ride is harder but not bad. Like you, I have two young children; which is exactly why I lowered it. In stock form it was just too high for them to get in. In addition, my wife is only 5'3", so a lowered truck actually helped everyone.

the problem is that i can't weld on my truck , because our vehicles here in Belgium must pass a technical control every year , welding on the axle is NOT done here in this monkey-land...LOL

Here's how mine stands with Stinker's kit.
