Lemme go look :dontknow: :dontknow: :D

Woooo Hoooo! We got one too :D :D :D

That's what that was? Man, I just thought the gods were angry again! That's the third wasted ritual sacrifice this year!:p

I don't have a 35mm adapter and the photo tracking software for my 'scope, so I just shot these with the digital and 100x telephoto. The more illuminated area in the southern polar region is somewhat exaggerated (compared to what you see with the naked eye) due to the length of the exposure, but there is a brightness difference from pole to pole at this latitude.

Dude, I am a tripod!:D

Mike, I was using a tripod. The image is blurred from the earth's rotation during the time that the camera aperture is open (that's right, the earth goes around like the wheels on your short bus :p ). The only way to compensate for that is to have the camera attached to the telescope with a motorized base, driven by software that moves the scope to track the object being photographed. As I said above, I just don't have the camera adapter and software to drive the base on my scope.

I know Bro..I was poking fun at my own inability to take a simple pic of the moon  I have tried the tripod and numerous other things to no avail...Still learning the digital camera  If I had a regular SLR I would be ok...But I am a blithering Dip shit with electronics......LOOOLOLOOL You know that I worked for you once Hahahahahha :D  :D

Had nothing else to do so I made my own tipod.:D I got a long bolt and screwed it to the bottom of our little cheap 4 megapixel camara and taped the bolt to the hand rail. I took the flash off and reduced the exposure as much as i could. Then i put it on the timer that way it wouldnt move.....Here are some pics i took at work.....

Classic come back.

I would use it but, well you have to have a little credibility in that area to make it work...and we Asians were not blessed in that area.

Cool. Nice results, given the setup! Doesn't hurt being in AZ either, being at a lower latitude and having less light scatter/pollution to reduce contrast.
