Do any of you guys remember the old Mickey Thompson Super Scavenger Headers? They were straight tubes to a very long collector that supposedly made them the same as an equal length tube. These things sounded better than any header I have ever heard. A friend had them on his 69 Road Runner
and they were awesome. If I could draw I would show you how they looked.
I'll bet they would sound great on the 10's.

I have never never heard of those headers.............

That really doesn't mean anything..............

i've seen types were inside a big tube there are longitudional baffles ( seperating plates ) .... this way each cilinder has his own equal length "pipe" , it is a portion of the big tube... ( as a piece of cake :D ;) )

is this what you mean ? :dontknow:

The pipes took a direct route to the collector, which was very long, each individual pipe terminated in the collector at a different spot. The collector itself was about 36 inches long and these things sounded great especially at fast idle with a good cam.

Did you like the sound?
Wonder how they would sound on a 10?

They sounded really good on the built RAM Air IV 455 I had in my firebird, but at the end of the day, the 10 is gonna sound like a 10 and there ain't no fixin that...
