Well one of my best friends has a older style M3. My truck Bone stock. We go out on a deserted highway , two runs from about 10 mph roll, and one from the dig.

ALL I CAN SAY IS Godd*mn that fuc(in*g 3RD GEAR

is it a pain or what. The roll runs no problem, tach it out, chirp 2nd, cant find third for a few sec.

From the dig, no hook up and still cant find 3rd

He hung with me though , give him credit. The last run we did i was pulling on him pretty hard before 3rd lol did i mention that :(

His car has carbon fiber hood, short throw, cia, intake, maf, computer, 4.11 gears, exhaust, headers,

pretty fast for a 6cy :)

This is why everyone needs BOOMER shifter so this doesnt happen to you :p

All true....... missing 3rd is like gettin the clap before Prom night.......

Those M3s can be really fast..... Particularly the full on SC Dinan model.... Not exactly sure, but I believe they get up around 500 hp.......

Never touched 5th lol. You know 1st, 2ncd, chirp, then 3rd, oh wait, crap, it wont go, what the hell, now your looking where your oppenet is at, still no third, wait you think you have it, nope, finally you have it in third, after your rpm's have droped , now your back out of your powerband to some extent.

3rd is allso hard to hit in my vette, but the srt-10 is much harder


As far as his M3, yeah its a get up little car 3000 pounds, to give you some comparsions my friends M3 can hang with his brothers 2000 C5 with in reason.

Personaly though im after the C5 lunch. Which says alot comming from a C5 owner :)

Change the angle of your hand when you shift..What position is your hand in when you shift to 3rd....Takes practice to beat old bad habit's..Worked wonders for me :rock:
 
usally i shift, with hand or palm down. Never really tried the pistol grip style on a hard launch, just seems kinda unatrual guess it takes practice, in all fairness i havent really launched all that much. No one ever wants to run me. Either they think its not worth the time or they think Viper and panic.

Im afraid to give it to much RPM for a clutch dump, not ready just yet to put in another clucth lol or buy new tires.

Not that i condone street racing, but in the right conditions sure go for it. I could give a sh*t for the law, but just dont want to hurt anyone.

Nothin says lovin like taking her up to 6k and power braking her until there looks like hell was unleashed and the smoke fills the cab :rock:
 
Many Viper owners do the pistol grip, however their palm will face the passenger door.

I have not missed 3rd in my Ram, yet. But I do not like the feel of the shifter. I will replace at some point.

If your truck is like mine, Boomer's shifter will help, but won't cure the problem of slamming 3rd gear. I still have issues at WOT!

At this point I'm convinced I need the Centerforce/Viper Slave/Master Cylinder upgrade to make it happen.

Yes, I hear the Hooters parking lots are a much better venue for that sort of shenanigans.

My neighbors have 2 M3's, one coupe, one convertible. The coupe is supercharged as well, and even he admits he wouldn't want to go in any race with my truck. I admit, they are beautiful cars.
 
Get BOOMERS SHIFTER!!!!! It's awesome and easy to put in. I'll have a lil v6 that'll smoke my after she's paid off...
