ok well so most of you know what been going on with my truck..i sucked a screw down the intake...well after trying to buy a new motor an that falling threw i finally bit the bullet an took it to a dealership...an finaly found some honest people...well i get a call today saying that my insurence company will not cover it..fine no big deal i didnt expect them to...then not 10min later the dealership called me an said that there viper tech said my motor has a 12month 12 thousand mile warrenty....i said ok so you telling me what...he said they ordered me a brand new motor..an itll be here within 2 to 3 days an my truck will be ready in 1 week! hahaha im so excited...anyway just thought id share...the vipertech also wanted my n20 kit so i just gave it to him lol

When my new motor was ordered it took almost two months to get all the parts. The engine was quick but some of the simple ones took forever. :dontknow:
Good luck on it being that quick . :) :)
I was also lucky I only had 3 weeks left on warranty when mine let go.:rock:
 
You are so fkn lucky. I can't believe your dealership is going to warranty it for you. Question: Why didn't they warranty your engine after the stripped screw fell out, and before you tryed to rebuild it?

honestly i dont know why they didnt cover it.... when i took is to the dealership i bought it from......dallas dodge sucks ill never buy another car/truck from them..or do any kind of business with them..they voided my extended warrenty i bought from them when i bought the truck. dallas dodge didnt try to help me at all they saw the after market throttlebody an voided it on spot.....they wanted 20,000 dollars to fix it..i told them id pick the truck up the next day...brought the truck home..took the motor out of the truck..tried to do it my self..got the truck back up an running...ran fine for about 30 to 40 min an started knocking..took the truck to the temple dodge dealership....they told me the history on my truck..its had 2 new motors put in it..an at least 1 new rearend...this will be the 3rd new motor in it....they tried an tried to help me....i mean this dealership has gave me a new light on stealerships........ an then the manager asked me if it had the 12/12 warrenty i asked what it was ....he explained 12k miles or 12 month....an well here i am they ordered the new motor today an hopefuly if everything goes ok itll be done soon! so all in all im out a nitrous kit 600 bucks and a 100 dollar deductable lol for a 15 k motor lol
 
can i assume this dealership doesn't know about the aftermarket TB, and the loose screw?:dontknow:

congrats, i know thats a load off your shoulders, finally a decent dealership to deal with. im lucky enough to have one around here.
 
well the cool thing is the service manager had to go to san antoino an fight for me a new motor lol..it had the go before the board from crysler..or how ever you spell it...an they had to have the complete history of the truck..so they do know about the screw.....only thing they dont know is my own rebuild...an iv found out some more info on the truck. the orignal motor is still in the truck..it has just been sent to viper twice for rebuilds cause it was burning oil..4 quarts every such an such miles..an they couldnt figuer out the problem...so thank god i over tightend the rod bearing an starved the bareing of oil lol...i know it sounds bad but..the board said instead of a 100 $ deductable i have to come up with a grand but ill have a 100% brand new motor..the heads an intake are already at the dealer ship they are just waiting on the short block to get there =)
 
well..hahaha i have news on the truck.....from what i am told someone from this site or that viewd the site..turnd this link in to chrysler...there will be no new motor...they are not doing anything to my truck anymore...so first pointer the higher ups really do look at this site....i could honestly care less..if some one called them an told them im not mad..in fact im kind of happy..cause monday my trucks motor is being sent to austin...or buda to American racing technology....to be built for boost an spray......an just a side note..the #3 rod has cracked the block....not sure if it hit the main oil galley that runs threw there yet but.....its not the piston i replaced let alone messed with..when i put the motor back together everything was balenced.....but anyway..just thought that this would bring a laugh to everyone cause i know it did me...i was kinda pissed at first but...i race this truck at the strip everychance i get..i bought this thing to go fast.....an i guess mopars "stock" stuff is junk.......i just really wish i could find out who read this post..or called chrysler..cause id ..leave 2 of the biggest tire marks in ur freaking drive way as soon as its done being built.
 
Well, I really hope it wasn't a member here who ratted you out. That would be beyond low.

But I guess the lesson to be learned is watch what you say on a public forum, you never know who is going to read it. Sorry to hear this.
 
Sorry to here the bad news. So how did the #3 rod crack the block. Are you going to get a new block to have built up?
