Today I took my pedals and plugs to a machine shop and am getting the pedals threaded as well new plugs made with threads (since old ones had been tapped for removal) and going with an easier setup to remove the pedal in case I have to replace the bushings again.

It's costly for something so small, but I want it done right and my way.

Previously I had thought I could remove the plugs while still having the pedals attached. I custom made a slide hammer and bought the smallest right angle drill I could find. Drilled, tapped and the plug slowly (and I mean s-l-o-w-l-y) kinda started working it's way out. But would take a bloody hand and a week at that rate if I even had a hand left! So, e-clip it was... you finish that project hoping... you never have to do it again anytime soon.

It's nothing like what most of the members here do with engines, but it's my first step doing something like this. See what else I can find that needs changing...

:)
