I am thinking I will install cats to help kill the heavy fumes I am experiencing with my catless system.....anybody know how the below cats compare with the hiflows sold by Roe & Justin?....the box says "high Performance Converters" but nothing about "hiflow"...the muffler shop that installed my headers & exhaust has them and gave me a great price....:dontknow:

MagnaFlow HiFlow converters

Here is a guide to MagnaFlows HiFlo converters which would be a very good choice for a performance application. I have used them in the past with very good results.

2" 54304
2.25" 54305
2.5" 54306
3" 54309

The converter you have a link to is not a high flow converter.

Tell us more about the fumes...are you sure you don't have an exhaust leak?

Exhaust has been inspected by me and my dealer..no leaks....I am not having a problem with fumes while stopped unless wind direction blows the exhaust towards the front....I have had people say their eyes would burn if they were standing near the back while the truck was idling....and my wife complains about fumes coming in the house....even my 17 yr old covers his nose if I pull in the garage.........dynoed about 5 weeks ago and A/F was about 11.5.........fumes have not gotten worse since the catless mids were installed..I have just grown tired of the smell..:bebored:

Thats enough........you need somebody to chime in about which ones to purchase that will take care of the smell. Hopefully someone will chime in.

Eureka!!...that is what I want to know....FSTJACK mentioned the Magnaflow part # 54309.....how do these compare to the ones Roe lists?....Roe doesnt list a part number nor do his look like any pictured on Magnaflow's web site.....:dontknow:

Roes and JMB cats will only cost you 1-3WHP and WTQ, they arent made by car-sound/magnaflow, they are from the manufacturer that produces random-tech cats.

You have a PM....thanks..

Is it legal to run hi-flows? I know it is illegal to run no cats but I do not know if it is illegal to run hi-flows.
