Manatee Cam

So FPL (Florida Power and Light) is actually doing somthing pretty cool. The powerpower plant is shut down right now, but with the cold weather they are still heating the exhaust water for the Manatees.
For all you northerners, the manatees are attracted to the warm water that the powerplant normaly produces.

yea it is. For something that is endangered, doesnt look like they are doing that bad. :dontknow:
Seems like everything down here is a manatee zone.

#s have improved but still a long way from taking them off the endangered list, very cool on FPLs part

Kindness to animals is always a good thing.

Sure, we eat some animals. And to some that's cruel. But any nature film will teach even the smallest child that life must consume life to survive.

So, while I do eat chicken, beef and most seafood, I still find it incumbant upon any sentient being to respect the lives and quailty of life for all creatures, great and small....

(Except fkn black widows, funnel webs, brown recluses and all those evil POS sunzabitches....... F them..... )
